Congratulations to Melisa who was our student of the week last week. Melissa has learned the classroom rules and routines and is doing a great job to show me her best work. Great work Melissa. You are a super student
On Thursday we had a couple of ladies come from Alberta Softball to teach the children how to play softball. They learned the basics of throwing, catching and hitting a ball. It was tons of fun!
We had so much fun celebrating our 100th day of kindergarten. We made necklaces with 100 fruit loops (probably more in our bellies), we painted 100 dots and ate ice cream with many toppings. Thank you to parents for sending in all the yummy toppings and bags of 100 items. It was so much fun counting everything. We even turned our pictures into what we look like at 100 years old.
Apparently Mrs Smith will be pretty funny looking :) Each month our custodian, Mrs. Garceau, picks the cleanest classroom for the "Golden Garbage Can" award. We won this month!!!
The kids and I had lots of fun making Valentine's for our family. During holidays like Valentine's Day, children learn important messages like the importance of friendship and loving one another. I, as a teacher, also learned a very important thing this year - We need to make way bigger mailboxes next year. We were all certainly spoiled this year.
Congratulations to Alabama who was our star student this week. Alabama is a fabulous kindergartener. She is always trying her best and makes sure to include everyone during circle time. Alabama always brings a great attitude to school and makes our classroom so much fun. Great work Alabama.
Congratulations to Tyson who was our star student for this week. Tyson has worked hard to follow all the kindergarten rules. He is always willing to participate in every kindergarten activity and is a great friend to everyone in class. Great Work Tyson
