The students earn a body part for every compliment we receive or for having a very good afternoon.
The children have worked very hard to earn all of Mr. Potato Head's body parts. On Friday we got to have a party with some of our buddies after the assembly. Children got to play in centers for the afternoon.

Congratulations to Jessica who was our star of the week.
Jessica has worked very hard to be a good role model in our kindergarten class. She is always willing to participate and is a very good friend to everyone. I am so proud of all her efforts to make sure all of her friends are always included in every activity we do. Last Thursday we had a very special afternoon with our Grade 5 buddies. While the electricians were installing our new Smart Board in our classroom, we had a picnic and participated in many different activities with our older buddies
Congratulations to our student of the week. Owen is an amazing friend to everyone in the class, he is always willing to help clean up and he is the go to guy for knowing the months of the year and the days of the week. He is a joy to have in my class and always comes to school with a smile. I am so proud of him!
Miss Smith is very thankful to have such a wonderful group of kinders this year. I am so proud of all my little turkeys. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving.
For those of you that haven't had a chance to peek into our classroom last week, I have some very exciting new. WE GOT NEW FURNITURE. it was certainly worth the wait.
This week, we are going to talk about "all things fall", yesterday we braved the wind and went across the street to collect some leaves for our activities this week. This week we will also be sorting our leaves, making a leaf man and talking about fall weather.
Maybe not the best day to have an outside field trip but the children still enjoyed their time. We attended Safety City this morning and talked about many different pedestrian safety, and home safety rules. The children all got a turn to be the "drivers" on small quads, as well as took turns being the "pedestrians".
Although I think the field trip was very successful and of course fun, I wouldn't let the children take their driving skills to the main roads quite yet. There were many that ran red lights, ones that didn't stop for pedestrians and of course many British drivers (driving on the wrong side of the road haha). Although I was away at a conference for the run, I am so proud of the kids for braving the weather and raising money for Terry Fox.
