On Friday we had a very special presentation by country music star, Ryan Liard. Ryan is on tour with his 'Bigger than that" tour and we were lucky enough to watch him perform. Ryan also sent a strong message about bullying. We also had "Celebrity Dress Up" day; which I was so happy to see everyone dressed up. For those of you that didn't see me with my group - I was dressed up as one of the Charli's Angels.
Congratulations to Owen who was our star student this week. I am very proud of Owen. He is doing a very great job with Mrs Campbell. He is also a very good friend and great helper.
Congratulations to Melisa who was our student of the week last week. Melissa has learned the classroom rules and routines and is doing a great job to show me her best work. Great work Melissa. You are a super student
On Thursday we had a couple of ladies come from Alberta Softball to teach the children how to play softball. They learned the basics of throwing, catching and hitting a ball. It was tons of fun!
We had so much fun celebrating our 100th day of kindergarten. We made necklaces with 100 fruit loops (probably more in our bellies), we painted 100 dots and ate ice cream with many toppings. Thank you to parents for sending in all the yummy toppings and bags of 100 items. It was so much fun counting everything. We even turned our pictures into what we look like at 100 years old.
Apparently Mrs Smith will be pretty funny looking :) Each month our custodian, Mrs. Garceau, picks the cleanest classroom for the "Golden Garbage Can" award. We won this month!!!
