I know they are all ready for this giant step and I will try to hold my tears in as I watch them move onto another grade.
During the last two months we have been learning about the life cycle of Butterflies. We were lucky enough to have 12 class pets (caterpillars) and watch them as they grew to be beautiful butterflies. We took them outside to fly away a couple of times but they seemed to want to stay in their hamper. I think it is the same feeling the kindergarteners are feeling as they start to make some big steps to Grade 1. I know they are all ready for this giant step and I will try to hold my tears in as I watch them move onto another grade.

We had an excellent day together at Devonian Gardens. We got to learn about some different animals, play some games and have a picnic in the park. Then in the afternoon we went on a hike, wandered through some beautiful gardens and then went into the butterfly gardens.
An amazing day! My favorite part was when a student said "I love being on vacation with my friends" 2015 Kids in the Garden

Tyson is a very well mannered kid and he stands out as a strong leader in our classroom. Keep up the great work Tyson. Congratulations to Alabama. You have worked very hard to be a respectful kindergarten. I am so proud of how you patiently wait during circle time for your turn to talk. You are always polite and kind to everybody. Keep up the great work Alabama.
The star of the week was Awarded to Gracie. Gracie is being very brave when she comes to school. She comes with a positive attitude and is always willing to help. Gracie loves playing with all her friends. I am very proud of you Gracie.
